Working on Multiple Things
Working on Multiple things has always been a thing with me, I’ve never really finished a project in the past and have always felt unhappy with stopping when I hit the limit of my skills.
However, with the help from AI, I am closer then ever to being happy with the outcome of a project I am working on.
What am I hoping to get out of this?
I simply want tools around my house that I can use, that work for me. Although I publish my stuff to Github, I am not worried about getting recognised or hits.
Yes, I talk about it and put out posts, but that’s just part of my process of signing off a project.
Would it make me happy if others use the tools I develop or vibe-code? Yes and I appreciate it when people comment. But this is not the end goal, it’s a nice to have.
I worry
I do worry about where AI is getting it’s code from, am I taking somebody’s labour of love and not giving them credit? Am I taking leaked, stolen code to make mine? This does go through my head when I am using tools like Claude Code.
What I am doing about it?
I am going to start donating to opensource libraries and tools when I can and money allows.
To start with, I am going to buy a licence for Immich since it is now central to most of the stuff I am now making.
I will also donate to Jellyfin and AudioBookshelf as soon as I can afford too.
I will post when I have with evidence for anybody interested.
